Shun

An omakase demands a particular kind of space, one that recedes enough to let the food lead, while being precise enough to elevate everything it holds. The studio approached Shun through material honesty: rough travertine and recycled ulin on the facade, worn and layered in texture. Inside, a backlit banana paper ceiling diffuses warmth from above. Bronze mirrors extend the room softly. Subtle bronze accents carry through without insistence. The atmosphere that results is simultaneously grounded and elevated. A room where materiality has become part of the dining experience itself, felt before it is noticed.
