Nusa by Suka Group, Ubud

In this restaurant project, our goal was to strike the perfect balance between casual comfort and subtle refinement, creating an environment where guests feel at ease, yet surrounded by elevated details that add a touch of fine dining. Every design choice was made to ensure that the space feels approachable, while still exuding a quiet sophistication that invites guests to enjoy an unforgettable experience.

Central to this atmosphere are the materials we selected. Onyx and marble, while luxurious, were used with restraint to avoid overwhelming the space. The translucent onyx creates a soft, ambient glow that adds an element of elegance without feeling too opulent, while the marble accents provide an understated refinement that elevates the overall aesthetic. The carefully chosen premium fabrics, rich velvets, tailored linens, and soft leathers, combine comfort with luxury, ensuring that every seat feels as inviting as it does elegant.

Our investment in handcrafted wood pieces further reinforces the sense of authenticity and warmth. Locally sourced, recycled wood was selected not only for its sustainability but for its organic charm, creating a tactile connection to the environment. This blend of high-end materials with locally inspired craftsmanship ensures that the space feels both timeless and of the moment, with an understated sophistication that doesn’t detract from the easy-going, relaxed atmosphere.

The design of this restaurant is a reflection of a space where attention to detail matters. It’s a place where the materials are rich, but not intimidating, where the comfort of the furniture meets the understated elegance of the surroundings. Every detail, from the premium materials to the bespoke furnishings, was carefully considered to create an inviting, elevated space for those who appreciate thoughtful design in a relaxed, approachable setting.
